Job Description

A Diesel Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of relevant equipment and machinery.

Qualifications

N2 Trade related subjects or 10 years as a qualified artisan
Recognized trade certificate
Learner ship contract / proof of formal training / workbook
English proficiency
Medical Certificate of Fitness
First aid certificate
Own transport to attend to callouts in good time
Previous experience with current diesel mechanical equipment and mining experience a great advantage

Competencies

Supervision of subordinates and communication skills
Knowledge of Health and Safety and other policies and procedures
Diagnostics and fault finding
Planning, organizing and controlling skills
